About Rainier League of Arts

Rainier League of Arts” is a non-profit art club located in Tacoma, WA. Meetings feature artist demonstrations of techniques and materials such as: Oil, watercolor, pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, acrylic, 3D art, photography and mixed media. “Rainier League of Arts” club shows art in local area venues. Fred Oldfield was one of the founding members, some current members are also professional artists. The club was started in 1968 by Roseli Souza, Paul Chalk, Hazel Gibbons, Fred Oldfield and Aletha Deuel. “Rainier League of Arts” welcomes new members including fine artists, photographers, as well as new emerging artists. There is no fee to attend the first meeting, after that, yearly club dues are $25 for 2018-2019. “Rainier League of Arts” (RLA) meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7PM at the Mid-County Community Center, 10205 44th Ave. E, Tacoma, WA (Located behind Central Avenue Elementary School) No meetings in July, August or January. December's Holiday Potluck in lieu of meeting.

Meeting Times and Location:
Rainier League of Arts meets the Third Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Meetings are held at the Mid-County Community Center, 10205 44th Ave. E, Tacoma, WA (Located behind Central Avenue Elementary School).  No meetings are held in July or August.  Meetings resume in September.  In December we have a Holiday Potluck at 6pm. There is no meeting in January.

Join us for a meeting and enjoy an art demonstration/presentation and a refreshment break followed by the club meeting!
There is no charge to attend the first meeting. After that, yearly club dues for 2018 - 2019 are only $25 per year.  Club members bring their artwork and talk a bit about it at the meeting.  Guests are also welcome to bring their artwork to the meeting!
